GTA cheat guides: newest to oldest
GTA 2: quick answer and scope
GTA 2 cheats are entered as special names before play. This guide collects documented built-in entries, explains activation and separates edition limits. Choose your platform before copying a code; GTA games do not all share one input method.
How to enter the codes
Open character or name selection before starting: the game-specific method appears below. Enter the word belonging to your platform, confirm and check its effect during play. When a prerequisite activation is required, notably GOURANGA for GTA 2 on PC, complete that step before entering the desired code.
Useful cheats: what each effect changes
GOURANGA enables PC cheats through the character-name field; enter the desired code before starting. Gang respect, weapons, cash and multipliers are different effects. Entering a word without enabling the mode can explain a failed activation. It is not dialled on a phone: GTA 2 does not use GTA IV’s system.
On PC, enter GOURANGA as the name to enable cheat mode, then return to the name field to enter the desired code before starting. PlayStation and Dreamcast have their own words rather than an interchangeable PC list. Gang respect, weapons and multipliers feature in the catalogue. Some entries depend on regional versions; an absent platform entry is not presented as confirmed for that system.
Codes and combinations by platform
Open your platform’s group. Each row pairs an effect with its input; counts describe rows rather than unique effects. Code words and button sequences remain untranslated.

Editions, limits and common mistakes
PlayStation, PC and Dreamcast have separate tables. Desktop codes are not presented as verified for the Game Boy Color adaptation. Some words vary with region or revision. GOURANGA is not a universal instruction across every system: follow the platform heading and corresponding input words.
Saving, undoing effects and continuing without cheats
Keep a separate save before experimenting. Re-entering a code does not reverse every effect, and editions can behave differently. An earlier save is the clearest route back to a previous state; check mission or achievement restrictions for your edition afterwards. Tables come from checked documentation, without claiming hands-on testing of every sequence on every machine.
