210 GB remains a reported figure, not an official final size
The 210 GB figure circulating for GTA VI is a third-party report, not a final size confirmed by Rockstar in the official sources checked. PlayStation Game Size posted the figure on October 27 and outlets reported it. Checked on October 28, 2026, we treat it as an unconfirmed PS5 report, without extending it to Xbox or a PC version.
Where the rumour comes from and what we could check
Insider Gaming attributes the figure to PlayStation Game Size and says it corroborated the information. ComputerBase also links that post. We include the original link, although direct retrieval was restricted with a 403 error during this research. We therefore distinguish the outlets’ accessible attribution from independently reading the original message. Repeated coverage does not turn a third-party claim into a Rockstar announcement.
Download, installed storage and updates are different measures
The amount transferred over a network and the storage occupied by an installation are different measures. A figure associated with a particular build also does not automatically describe other platforms, language packages or subsequent updates. Without a listing identifying the platform, version and conditions, 210 GB should not be presented as the permanent total required by every player. Any additional storage allowance likewise needs official confirmation.
How long might it take? A hypothetical calculation
As a mathematical assumption only, a download of 210 decimal GB would take about 4 hours and 40 minutes to transfer at a constant 100 Mb/s. This divides the amount converted to bits by the transfer rate; it measures neither GTA VI nor your connection. Sustained speed, pauses and service conditions can change the actual time. The example illustrates scale rather than promising a download duration.
What you can prepare without treating the rumour as confirmed
Review which games you could uninstall while preserving saves through your console’s available options, and check free storage. Before buying an expansion device, verify compatibility and the final product information. Use our preload guide to decide when to download: the official schedule and the reported size answer different questions. Do not use third-party files promising early access or claiming to demonstrate the game’s size.
FAQ: PS5, Xbox and final confirmation
Has Rockstar confirmed 210 GB? Not in the official sources checked for this article. Would the same figure apply on Xbox? We cannot transfer it to another platform. Does it mean downloading is available now? No: a size report does not open preload. Which figure should guide storage decisions? The download and installation information shown by your store or console when it enables the version you actually purchased.
