A concrete example rather than an invented checklist

IGN’s interview includes Lucia meeting a man in a dumpster. Nelson says she can give him medication or choose not to, and that returning can lead to legal advice. It is a small but useful example of an action outside the main mission creating a reason to return. It does not establish a catalogue of every encounter.

Optional does not mean random in every detail

An encounter can arise during free roam while still having authored dialogue, conditions and consequences. It does not establish infinitely generated stories. Player surprise and an event’s internal structure are different: Nelson being surprised during the demonstration does not show that the encounter had no rules.

What a choice can change and what remains unknown

The option to help establishes a decision in that encounter. The source specifies no cash reward, universal goodness meter or requirement for story completion, nor every return-visit variation. Mentioned legal advice cannot be turned into guaranteed lower fines or a complete lawyer system.

Our criminal-profile guide covers a separate system. One helpful interaction cannot establish identical scoring for every event or a single moral score governing the campaign.

Exploring attentively without turning it into icon chasing

As an editorial suggestion, listening and observing places you revisit fits the world being described. It is not a confirmed unlock condition. We do not recommend waiting an invented number of hours, repeatedly switching characters or visiting fan-map coordinates to force untested events.

Not every meaningful decision needs a cash reward. Later dialogue can give a character continuity and turn a passing location into a recognisable landmark. This interprets the shown example rather than promising permanent consequences for every pedestrian. Testing continuity would mean returning under comparable conditions and checking whether a response depends on helping, story progression or another requirement. Without that check, attributing a change solely to the player’s choice would be premature.

How a future guide can avoid spoilers

A useful entry would separate starting conditions from outcomes: verified location, controlled character, trigger and a warning before consequences. That lets readers seek help without reading the full resolution. We add no unpublished mission names or relationships. The dumpster example comes from public reporting and does not reveal Jason and Lucia’s ending.

This is not a 100% completion checklist

The scene establishes neither event count, percentage requirements nor missable encounters. Checked November 1, 2026 using IGN’s October 7 interview. Official images illustrate characters and settings rather than the man or a verified event location. A completion checklist requires verifiable requirements first.
