The answer and the source date

The GTA VI shown to the press includes fuel: Edge describes both a fuel gauge and an engine-health readout. This comes from a demonstration rather than FansGTA testing the finished game. The feature says cars can travel substantial distances before refilling, but provides no model-by-model range, consumption or price table.

What the checked sources show

Edge’s feature appeared October 29. An earlier PC Gamer report, based on TGG discussing a presentation, described a roughly ten-second refill. That observation is not a universal stopwatch for every vehicle and situation. Both accounts suggest brief management, without establishing a menu option to disable fuel or permanently free refills.

What it means for players

Fuel and engine health represent different problems. A full tank does not make a damaged car healthy, and a fast vehicle need not contain enough fuel. Checking a getaway car beforehand is a reasonable implication of the described design, not a tested recipe. The system adds choices about which car to use and when to replace it.

Limits: what remains unestablished

We publish no fuel prices, tank duration, exact penalties or infinite-fuel codes. Nor do we extrapolate every aircraft or boat’s behaviour from a discussion focused on cars. Official Port Gellhorn imagery provides context rather than proof of an interactive pump or a fuel price.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a leak rumour? The main basis is Edge’s Rockstar visit, not stolen material. Is a full tank’s price known? Not from the checked references. Can fuel be disabled? We do not claim such an option exists. Theft and trackers have a separate guide so maintenance is not confused with obtaining a car.
