Game Informer reported on September 29 that GTA VI includes over 170 animal species across land, sea and air. The figure comes from its Rockstar reporting rather than a FansGTA count. We reviewed it on October 31 without presenting it as a newly announced fact or a complete creature checklist.
What is documented
Examples include flamingos, manatees, pelicans and alligators alongside invasive green iguanas, cane toads, feral cats and rhesus macaques. They reflect the diversity of Florida that inspires Leonida. These examples establish neither precise spawn locations nor identical interactions or observation rewards for every animal.
How to check and avoid confusion
The report also mentions Rare, Discoverable and Legendary categories while withholding their identities. We do not fill those gaps with RDR2’s animal list. Tracking systems and a species visible in an image do not establish a specific mission, trophy or hunting route. Each of those claims requires separate evidence.
